Open Communication > Message log. It lists everything the system sent or tried to send, kept for audit. Use it to answer "did the parent get the message?"
Read the table
Each row shows:
- When it was sent,
- Message, the kind of message, for example a fee reminder,
- Channel: SMS, WhatsApp, email or in-app,
- To: the phone, email or name,
- Status: for example queued, sent, delivered, read or failed. A small number beside it marks a step in a fallback chain,
- Delivered by: the sending service. "Server log only" means no sending service was set up, so the message was only written to the server log and nobody received it,
- Caused by: the person who triggered it, or Automatic,
- Note: the error, if any.

Click a row. You read the message, and when it was Delivered, Read or Failed, and an estimated cost. The Fallback chain lists each step, for example WhatsApp first and then SMS, with the status of each. Delivery reports shows what the provider reported, or "No delivery report yet".

A message failed.
Read the Note. Common reasons are a wrong number, a parent who has not opted in to WhatsApp, or a template that was not approved. See WhatsApp: switch it on and record opt-in.
