Open Institute > Dashboard settings. These numbers decide how the dashboards show "on target" or "needs attention", when an alert is raised and who gets it. They are set for the institution you chose in the top bar.
The tabs
- Targets: for example the fee collection target (due to date), the fee budget for the year, the attendance target and the sanctioned intake per standard or programme. If no target is set, no status is shown. Only the super admin can change targets, and every change needs the trustee resolution reference, such as the resolution number and date.
- Thresholds: when something is flagged, for example attendance below a percentage, the number of absent days in a row that flags a student, fees overdue by 90 days, the size of a concession that needs escalation, how quickly a hostel complaint becomes urgent and the percentage for a distinction. The institution admin can change these within the limits shown.
- Times: the register cut-off, the hostel roll call grace in minutes, quiet hours and the quiet hours and daily digest time of phone notifications. The institution admin can change these.
- Responsibilities: who owns each kind of alert, for example the warden or the institution admin. A switch also turns follow-up notes on students on or off.
- Alert rules: the alert rules for the institution.
- Digest: who gets the Alerts and the weekly digest, and on which day.
- History: every change, with who made it, when it starts, from and to values and the reason. Nothing in the list can be edited or removed.
Change a setting
- Open the tab and change the value. The box shows the allowed range and what is In force now.
- Write the Reason for the change. It is required and is kept in the history.
- For targets, also type the Trustee resolution reference.
- Press Save changes. Press Discard to go back.
A change starts the next day. Past days are never changed. If a change is waiting, the tab shows "From date: value".
Common questions
The fields are locked.
A note says who may change them. Targets are for the super admin. Others are for the institution admin. If you see the text "You can see these settings but you cannot change them", you have view access only.
I changed a number but the dashboard is the same.
It starts tomorrow.
