Open Hostel > Visitors. The page shows the visiting hours of the hostel. Log every visitor in at the gate and out when they leave.
Log a visitor in
- Press Log visitor.
- Choose the Visiting resident.
- Type the Visitor name. Add the Relation, for example father or uncle, and the Phone.
- Under ID shown write the kind of ID, for example Aadhaar, and the Last 4 digits. Do not write the full number.
- Write a Purpose if you want.
- Press Log visitor. The arrival time is recorded now.
Log a visitor out
Find the row and press Check out. A message says "N checked out". The status changes from Inside to Left.
Find a visitor
Use the Show switch: Today, Inside now or All. Search by visitor, phone or resident. The table can be downloaded as a CSV file.
Common questions
Nobody is inside but the overview shows a visitor.
Someone forgot to press Check out. Open Inside now and check them out.
Why only the last four digits?
SunRuby keeps the least data needed. The kind of ID and four digits are enough to identify a visit.
