Open Hostel > Medical log. It holds sick-bay notes in plain words: symptoms, what was done and whether the resident went to a hospital. It does not hold diagnosis codes. Write only what is needed.
Log a visit
- Press Log visit.
- Pick the resident and the Date.
- Write the Symptoms, for example "fever since last night, headache".
- Write the Action taken, for example "paracetamol given, rest in the sick bay, parent informed".
- If the resident went out for treatment, tick Taken to a hospital or clinic and write its name.
- Press Save entry.
SunRuby does not send a message from this page. Tell the parent yourself and note it in the action taken.
Close an entry
When the resident is well, press Resolve on the row. The state changes from Open to Resolved. Use the State filter to see only open ones.
Common questions
Who can see this log?
Only people who may view the medical log. It is sensitive. Share it only with those who need it.
A resident is sick tonight. Do I record it here or in the roll call?
Both. Mark them Sick on the Hostel night roll call and log the visit here.
